“I’mma keep it cool, and I’mma do me
It is what it is and that’s how it’s gon’ be
Until I get there
Until I get there
And yeah I got flaws, I know I’m not perfect
But all ups and downs, will soon be worth it
When I get there
When I get there”I was listening to this song earlier today and it made me feel so good. I’m not perfect. I’m not graduating on time and sometimes it makes me sad/embarrassed when I see people who are younger than me who are ahead of me or people I know soon graduating as nurses. This song reminded me just to keep on pushing. Shit is hard. Up until this point, I’ve had it pretty easier. It wasn’t until I got into college that I got a rude awakening not just academically wise but also life wise. I’ve been through so much the past three years. I just got to keep pushing, cus when I get that diploma and pass the NCLEX all of the blood, sweat, and tears I had to go through to get it will definitely be worth it! :)
You should be proud of yourself no matter what! Don’t worry about what the other kids are doing, don’t compare yourself to them; just know that it’s all you working hard towards your goal! The road to medicine, nursing, PT—hell, any healthcare profession—is always a long, arduous one, and I will always have the greatest respect for anyone who chooses to traverse it. When you get to the end is irrelevant; the fact is that you WILL become a nurse: someone who’ll be there for her patients the same way I know she’s already there for her friends.
so proud of my haysus :’)
