My prize from winning at the Santa Claw finally arrived! It’s a real life claw machine in Dayton, OH that you control over the internet. It’s a project by the Real Art Group, who explain the building process on their blog.

The line to get in is pretty short now (only 10 people or so!) since they’ve stopped giving out physical prizes, but it used to reach upwards of 500; I waited for 8 hours to get my turn and ended up winning this purple bouncy ball on the first try :B

Waiting in line is pretty entertaining, though; there’s a live feed that lets you watch while other people play, and sometimes you can see people tossing new balls in or even throwing mini-parties.

Try it at least once, it’s pretty fun and a good way to kill some time!

I’ve been playing for the last hour and won three times in a row; I may be addicted

I got the sweatshirt I designed for Bayanihan Clinic on Monday! Having your designs printed for people besides yourself to wear is indescribably cool; I’m so glad clinic board gave me the opportunity to work on this project. Hopefully I’ll be able to do it again next year!

Never take me to a restaurant that lets you eat directly off the table. A corollary to that: make sure they don’t have condiments readily available, either.

Went to Boiling Crab in Sac to celebrate the Lunar New Year and make a complete mess of ourselves; I think it worked out pretty well (I’m now a champion fry racer :D)
