TIL that I need to be a little more meticulous when it comes to making sure my photos overlap

Panooooooorama of the south entrance tunnel at Outside Lands.
Day 1:
Phantogram
MGMT: kind of a letdown! they played perfectly but didn’t give their music the extra life that playing live could afford
The Limousines: local! lots of energy; they had some audio hiccups but the crowd sang along instead
The Shins: James Mercer + beard is a beautiful creature; theirs was easily one of my favorite performances—especially when they played sleeping lessons
Day 2:
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis: I wish I could have seen more of their set! they managed to incorporate Beirut into hip hop
The Stone Foxes: awesome, local, Giants fans; the drummer is adorable and plays a mean harmonica
OK GO: 3rd time seeing them and still a pleasure; SF is a city of dirty, sinning sons of bitches according to them
Arctic Monkeys
The Black Keys: amazing set, marred by some asshole pushing me with his, well, ass
Muse: 1.5 hours of non-stop exultation; they had lasers and launched eyeballs at us
Day 3:
Latyrx f. Lyrics Born and Lateef: I went in knowing nothing and expecting anything; they delivered a really fun, upbeat show with lots of audience participation. “anyone repping DALY CITY?!” “I AM the only one here!!”
Little Dragon
Beirut: Zach Condon’s voice is what I imagine the finest of teas must taste like, and his lead trumpeter looks like Martin Freeman (read: adorable). they played NANTES
Arcade Fire: I could link an entire playlist of their set and it still wouldn’t fully communicate the euphoria pervading the crowd that night. I only regret that we weren’t able to get any closer to the stage, although I’ll never forget how exhilarating it was to run across Polo Field, dodging and weaving through the people standing around. I’m still up in the air concerning my favorite song, but Ready to Start and No Cars Go are definitely in the running.
they didn’t play laika, though :(
Wish I could’ve seen Foster the People, Toro y Moi, Best Coast, the Joy Formidable, the Vaccines, STRFKR, the motherfucking Decemberists, and deadmau5, but there are only so many hours in the day
how the fuck did this get so long
He’s working on a new piece. “i like this spot because it’s a blank canvas every time.”lol! Yup davis paints over his stuff.
His work, view in order:
Cool goings-on in the tunnel on the South Davis bike path.
View from the SRO seats in front of the glove at the Giants-Mets game!
Lights Out: Amateur Australian astronomer Alex Cherney writes: “At a star party in August 2009 I took my first long exposure photograph of the night sky. I was so thrilled with the results that I dedicated most moonless weekends since then to photographing two things I love the most in nature - the night sky and the Ocean.”
His award-winning time-lapse short “Ocean Sky” is the product of many months spent compiling images captured over 31 hours across six separate nights along Australia’s Southern Ocean coast.

Unearthly—get it?—time lapse; definitely worth a viewing or two.
